Sand darkens the skylight, the last light source for the black box housing both the audience and the stage. The music alternates between crashing organ chords and trivial tinkling melodies. Against the light birds with spread wings sink to the ground. A long room stretching into the distance opens up. Figures appear. The artistic inspiration interweaves with the audience's imagination in the flux of images and symbols of changing perspectives, lighting effects, movement and sound. The unconventional metaphor and the rhythm of its creation, passing and transformed return unchain memories and visions of the future in the spectators and insistently involve them in general questions about human existence.
Leszek Mądzik, director and set designer since 1967, has worked for many years as the playwright, director, designer and producer of this Lublin theatre group, which he regularly puts together after intensive rehearsals from students at the Catholic University, thus ensuring a continual rejuvenation of the group.
